The Livestrong Dakotas Team, a team in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, is set to roll out their 2011 season by pedaling along with the 2 Rivers Ride that starts in Gayville, SD on May 28, 2011. For more information go to 2riversride.com and sign up today. The team’s 2011 goal: To help bring awareness to the fight against cancer and help fund that fight. This newly formed team began their journey 51 members strong with Lance Armstrong and the “Twitter” ride in October of 2010 when the 7-time Tour De France winner helped dedicate the new Avera Prairie Cancer Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Today, the team has doubled, with members in Aberdeen, Mitchell, Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls and beyond. Using the idea of a “moving billboard,” LIVESTRONG DAKOTAS will attend different venues this year, bringing the fight to cure cancer front and center.
